Dr. Solomon Wallace Class of 2016 - 10th Anniversary Fund
Text message terms
Last updated November 3, 2026
If you sign up, the Fund texts you a reminder before each scheduled gift and tells you if a payment has a problem. We never send marketing texts. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help.
The program
- Program name: DSW Class of 2016 Fund gift reminders.
- Sender: the DR SOLOMON WALLACE CLASS OF 2016 - 10TH ANNIVERSARY FUND (the "Fund"), the Class's fund for its Tenth Anniversary Endowment. Its short name is DSW Class of 2016 Fund.
- Who can join: Brothers on the Class roster who sign in to dsw2016.org and choose to get texts about their own gifts.
Every text starts with "DSW Class of 2016 Fund:" so you know it is from us.
What we send
- A reminder 3 days before each scheduled gift, with its amount and date.
- A notice if a payment does not go through, or if your bank asks you to confirm it.
- A last notice if a scheduled gift still did not go through after we tried again.
- A notice about 30 days before the card you use for scheduled gifts expires.
- One text to confirm when you sign up, one to confirm when you opt out, and our replies when you text HELP.
Texts may include a link to dsw2016.org. We never send marketing or promotional texts, and we never ask for gifts by text.
How often
These are recurring texts. Message frequency varies. You get one text about 3 days before each scheduled gift, and more only if a payment has a problem or your card is about to expire.
You will get no more than 6 texts in a month, not counting our replies when you text HELP or STOP.
How to sign up
You can sign up only on your own profile, after you sign in. Open My gift, go to the Profile tab, enter your mobile number, check the box right below it, and select Save. The box is never checked for you, and you can save your profile without checking it.
Next to the box, it says:
The profile is only for signed-in Brothers, so here is a picture of the sign-up box, filled in with example details:

Giving us a mobile number, on your profile or in the giving flow, does not sign you up for texts. Only checking the box does. Right after you sign up, we send you one text to confirm.
Your consent goes with the number you gave. If you change or remove that number, your texts stop, and you check the box again to sign up the new number.
If you opted out before, you can sign up again by checking the box on your profile, or by replying START to any text from us.
Texts are optional
Texts are optional. Saying yes is not a condition of giving or of using this site. You will still get every email about your gift.
Your consent covers only texts from the Fund about your own gifts. We never sell it or share it for marketing, and no one else may use it to text you.
How to stop texts
Reply STOP to any text from us, at any time, to opt out. STOPALL, END, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, REVOKE, OPTOUT and OPT OUT work too. If you text us something like "stop texting me", we treat that as an opt-out as well.
When you opt out by text, or by unchecking the box on your profile, we send one text within 5 minutes to confirm it. Then we send no more texts.
You can also opt out by telling the Committee by email. See Contact and support. We stop as soon as we can, and no later than 10 business days after we get your request. We do not text you to confirm an opt-out made this way. The Committee confirms it by email.
Stopping texts does not cancel your pledge or your scheduled gifts. To cancel those, see Canceling scheduled gifts.
How to get help
Reply HELP to any text from us. You can also reply INFO. We will text back how to reach the Committee.
You can also email support@dsw2016.org, or see Contact and support.
Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier sets those rates. The Fund does not charge you for texts.
Delivery
Carriers are not liable for any delayed or undelivered messages.
A text can be late or never arrive, for example if your phone is off or out of range. Every reminder and notice we text also goes to you by email.
Privacy
Our Privacy policy explains how we handle your mobile number. Mobile information will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. We will not send you a new kind of text without asking you first.
